Children & Families First

HIGH POINT OPPORTUNITY

Children & Families First is committed to providing pathways for the entire family unit to achieve success and reach its full potential. These pathways include free on-site access to educational programs like GED and ESOL, personal enrichment classes, and job training – all of which are available through the Family Success Center program and the High Point Opportunity Center at Staley.

The High Point Opportunity Center offers low-income families in the High Point area an avenue to reaching their education and employment goals with free on-site classes, including GED, Nutrition, Financial Management, and EDU 119, a course offered in partnership with Greensboro Technical Community College (GTCC) for those looking to pursue a career in early childhood education.

Participants can attend classes while their children (age 6 months to 5 years old) are cared for on-site by highly qualified childcare professionals – and at no cost to their family. Bus passes are also available to participants with transportation needs.
